Tyler Perry out of a dress for the ‘Alex Cross‘ movie made some news, but these images of Matthew Fox looking ripped beyond belief and crazed deserves it’s own mention. Plus the fact that Fox really shines in this film is worth mentioning too.
Who knew Matthew Fox had it in him to take on a role this physical and menacing? We’ve grown so accustomed to his playing the good guy as in Brother Charlie in ‘Party Of Five‘ and ‘Lost‘, and when I got to check out ‘Alex Cross‘, I was just blown away by him. He reminded me of an even more intense Ed Norton in ‘American History X‘, and while Tyler Perry is fine in his role, I wish the original choice, Idris Elba, could have stayed in the film. Rob Cohen, who directed the great “The Fast and the Furious” movie kicking off a franchise that’s now back in the driver’s seat, has done a great job with this James Patterson character formerly played by Morgan Freeman in ‘Kiss the Girls‘ and ‘Along Came A Spider‘. Cohen has done an amazing job with Fox, who’s totally recreated himself as an actor for these types of roles. Alex Cross opens October 26, 2012.
